CONCERTS & LIVE ENTERTAINMENT
The first and third Thursday night of each month at 7 p.m. the downtown area comes alive with sounds of music as the City of Denham Springs presents "Train Station Thursdays." The entertainment at these free outdoor concerts runs the gamut from jazz to country & western, and from gospel music to magic shows. One block of Railroad Ave. is closed as people gather their lawn chairs around the Train Station Park pavilion on the former site of the old train depot, and people clap, dance and have an all-around good time. Thursday nights in December, the entertainment has a Christmas theme and features caroling, chili cookoffs and other entertainment.
